The festival of Chhath Puja is all about worshipping Lord Surya or the God of Sun and taking blessings from him. Women keep a strict 36-hour fast during this festival to pray for the well-being and happiness of their families. The four days of the festival are Nahay Khay, Kharna, Sandhya Arghya and Usha Arghya. On Sandhya Arghya or Kartik Shukla Shashthi, Chhathi Maiya and Sun God are worshipped and Arghya is offered to the setting sun on this day which will be observed on October 30.
