However, on Wednesday, July 9, the government refuted these claims. PIB Fact Check, a central government unit for checking facts and busting fake news, explicitly termed the report's assertions as "fake". "No such nationwide survey has been commissioned by the Centre or Department of Health Research," PIB Fact Check asserted.
