India observed Engineer’s Day for the first time in 1968, and since then, it has been celebrated every year on September 15, which is also the birth anniversary of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, India’s greatest engineer. He was honoured with the Bharat Ratna and he obtained his civil engineering degree from College of Engineering in Pune. This day lauds the contributions of all engineers for making our lives much easier and better with their innovations.
