The digitally manipulated video claims citizens can earn INR 1 million monthly from an INR 21,000 investment, and falsely states the platform is government-supported and developed by RBI. PIB Fact Check, a fact-checking unit of the Indian government, has confirmed the video is an AI-generated deepfake. It reiterated that neither the Indian government nor the Principal Secretary has endorsed any such scheme. Given the rising threat of deepfakes, viewers are advised to always verify authenticity of "announcements" or "too good to be true" offers.
