‘Fake’ Paneer Served at Gauri Khan’s Torii? Mumbai Restaurant Reacts to Viral Video of Iodine Test, Dismisses Allegation

A content creator, Sarthak Sachdeva, has claimed that he was served "fake" paneer at Torii, a restaurant co-owned by Shah Rukh Khan's wife Gauri Khan. He visited Virat Kohli's One8 Commune, Shilpa Shetty-owned Bastian, Someplace Else of Bobby Deol and Gauri Khan's Torii in Mumbai. During his visit, Sachdeva conducted iodine tincture test to check if paneer used by these restaurants is adulterated with starch. His video shows that every restaurant passed the test but paneer's colour changed to black after he added iodine in it at Torii. However, the restaurant refuted the allegation and said the paneer's colour changed because the dish contained soy-based ingredients.
