Field Marshal KM Cariappa: May 15, 2019 marks the 26th death anniversary of Field Marshal KM Cariappa. He was the first Commander-In- Chief of the Indian Army. He took charge of the army from the British Commander-In-Chief Sir Roy Bucher. He was born on January 28, 1899 in Madikeri, Kodagu now part of Karnataka. Watch the video to find out more about him.
