The festival of Raja Parba commemorates the time when Goddess Earth or Bhudevi undergoes menstruation. The second day of the festival signifies the beginning of the solar month of Mithuna when the season of rains starts. The occasion is celebrated in Odisha and is marked for three days. Also known as Mithuna Sankranti, Raja Parba 2022 will be celebrated from Wednesday, the 15th of June to Saturday, the 18th of June.
