One of the three main types of Teej, Hartalika Teej takes place on September 1. It is celebrated by North Indian married women for well-being of their husband. Goddess Parvati along with her divine partner Lord Shiva are primary deities of the festival. Women observe day-long fast known as Hartalika Teej Vrat. They also wish each other on the day with colourful greetings, WhatsApp messages, quotes, SMSes and photos.
