On December 30, Dr Balram Bhargava, Director General, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said all Covid-19 vaccines do not prevent infection and are disease-modifying. Dr Bhargava also explained what hybrid immunity is. Dr Bhargava said, “Multiple exposure to the virus antigen has happened whether through the vaccine, the infection or through contact.” The government has urged people to remain alert as the fight against Covid-19 is not over yet. The Omicron variant has spread to 23 states in India. 1,270 people have been infected with Omicron in India. India reported 16,764 fresh Covid-19 infections. Watch the video to know more.
