On August 15 2023, PM Narendra Modi unfurled the national flag at the Red Fort in Delhi. After unfurling the flag, PM Modi began his address to the nation by speaking about the violence hit Manipur. He said Centre and the state government are working together to maintain peace. This was PM Modi 10th consecutive Independence Day speech.
