Actress Kangana Ranaut will contest Lok Sabha election from Himachal Pradesh's Mandi seat as a BJP candidate. Her name featured in the BJP's fifth list of candidates for the general elections. The BJP also fielded Arun Govil, the veteran actor famed for his role as Lord Ram in the popular TV show Ramayan, as its candidate from his hometown Meerut in Uttar Pradesh.
