Ardem Patapoutian and David Julius jointly won the 2021 Nobel Prize for Medicine. The American scientists won the 2021 Nobel Prize for discoveries of receptors for temperature and touch. The prize is worth 10 million Swedish crowns ($1.15 million). The prestigious Nobel prizes were created and funded in the will of Alfred Nobel.
