The Central Government on August 12 said that opposition must apologise for "disruptive (and) threatening behaviour" that forced Parliament to close two days ahead of schedule. The government countered allegations by 12 parties, including the Congress. Opposition claimed "outsiders who were not part of Parliament security were brought in (yesterday) to manhandle opposition leaders and members, including women MPs.” The government's scathing response was delivered by an imposing array of seven union ministers, each of whom took turns to lash out at the opposition. The opposition, too, had on August 12 morning protested against the abrupt end to the Monsoon session of Lok Sabha & Rajya Sabha.
