Poonam Pandey’s fake death news left celebs and netizens in shock. And now the PR agency Schbang issued an apology for orchestrating the entire event. In a statement, Schbang apologised for the distress caused. Schbang added in the statement that the act made "cervical cancer" trend on Google with over 1000 headlines. In the statement, the agency revealed that Poonam’s mother is a cancer survivor. On February 2, Poonam Pandey’s manager announced the controversial actor’s death on Instagram.
