CryptoAfter breaking records on Doordarshan, Ramanand Sagar’s mythological epic Ramayan now airs on Star Plus. The show began its rerun from May 4 on Star Plus and will air every day from Monday to Sunday at 7:30 pm. The 1987 hit television show, Ramayan had already enjoyed a mega successful rerun on Doordarshan in April last month. The show also set a world record! The show recorded a viewership of 7.7 crore on April 16. Ramayan became the number 1 in terms of TRP as per data released by Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India. The show returned to television in March after PM Modi announced a nationwide lockdown. Ramayan Was Written, Directed And Produced By Ramanand Sagar. He Had Made A Total Of 78 Episodes Based On Valmiki’s Ramayana And Tulsidas’ Ramcharitmanas. Recently, a rumour surfaced about actor Arvind Trivedi, who played the role of Raavan in the show. The rumour said that Trivedi has left for heavenly abode.
