Samyukta Hegde Heckled In Bangalore Park, Actor Becomes A Victim Of Moral Policing As Kavitha Reddy, A Karnataka Congress Leader Attempts To Shame Her For Her Attire

ENTERTAINMENT Team Latestly|

In a shocking incident, Kannada actor Samyuktha Hegde and her friend were abused, assaulted and threatened in broad daylight for practising a hula hoop and working out, by bystanders in a public park, near the Agara Lake in Bangalore for her attire. The horrific incident took place on September 4.

The actor, in an IGTV video, recorded the kind of abuses and threats and the (unjust) moral policing that she and her friend were subjected to, despite calling the cops. It's ironic, how in a time where the society's mindset is changing as a whole with regards to women, another woman started tormenting the actor and her friend for wearing sports attire and working out. The lady in question, Kavitha Reddy even charged at Samyuktha's friend to hit her.

Kavitha Reddy shared a long statement on her social media where she narrated her side of the story.  Kavitha Reddy also issued an ‘unconditional apology’ to the actor, her friends and people present there at the time of the incident.
