On October 17, Tamannaah Bhatia was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Guwahati. The questioning was conducted in connection with an investigation into a money laundering case involving the ‘HPZ Token’ mobile app. Reportedly, investors were scammed with promises with regards cryptocurrency and Bitcoin mining opportunities. As reported by PTI, ED recorded the Bhatia’s statement under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act at their office. Reportedly, Bhatia had received payment for attending an event organised by the app company. However, no incriminating evidence was found against the actress. Bhatia had skipped earlier summons due to prior commitments and decided to appear on October 17, 2024.
