Tamil Nadu Urban Civic Polls Held After 10 Years: DMK Leads

DMK is leading in Tamil Nadu's urban local body polls. The polls were conducted after a gap of a decade. BJP is contesting alone. BJP has split from AIADMK. Of the total 1,374 corporation wards in the state, DMK has so far won 289 & the main opposition AIADMK 49, reported NDTV. As per the Tamil Nadu State Election Commission, DMK's ally CPI(M) has won 11 while BJP managed just 3. This is the first election after MK Stalin became the Chief Minister.
