TV News Channels Show Fake Trends Before Actual Results? CEC Rajiv Kumar Slams Practice of Showing Early Trends on Counting Day, Asks Media To Introspect Over Exit Polls

Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar criticised TV channels for showing "early trends" immediately after 8 AM, adding the counting actually starts from 8:30 AM. Kumar was addressing a press conference where schedule for the assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand was announced. In response to a question about the accuracy of exit polls, Kumar called for introspection by those conducting exit polls.
