Uttarakhand Accident: 25 Dead As Bus Falls Into Gorge

On June 5, a bus carrying 28 passengers fell into a gorge in Uttarakhand. As reported by NDTV, twenty-five people have been killed and three are critically wounded. The bus was on its way to Yamunotri, a major pilgrim spot in Uttarakhand. As reported by NDTV, the 25 pilgrims were from Madhya Pradesh. Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “25 people have died. We are putting all relief efforts in.” Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh each for the families of those who lost their lives in the accident & Rs 50,000 each for the injured. Union Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted in Hindi, “The NDRF is also reaching the spot soon.” Watch the video to know more.
