Hengoed, October 17: A nine-year-old boy, Kyran Payne, and his eight-year-old friend, Bradley Guzvic, suffered severe injuries after a firework exploded in their hands during a reckless attack by teenagers in a park den in Hengoed, Wales, UK. According to multiple reports, the incident occurred on October 1, when what the victims described as a rocket cracker was thrown into their den.

Kyran, unaware of the danger, picked up the explosive device to throw it out, which exploded in his hand, causing severe burns and leading to the loss of two of his fingers.
