Ludhiana, April 27: A massive fire broke out in the odd hours of Friday morning at a garment factory in Ludhiana. It is being reported that the fire is still not under control. According to an ANI report, firefighting operations are still underway, and more than 100 fire engines are at the spot to douse the raging fire.

According to an ANI report, the accident happened at 1.30 am in the hosiery and fire brigade was rushed to spot. The manufacturing of polyester fabric and factory is spread in around 3000 square yards of area. As per fire officials, there were sudden blasts inside the factory due to which the situation went out of control.

"We received information around 1:40 am, after which seven tenders were rushed to the spot. The tenders have been refilled two to three times already, but we have not been able to douse the flame yet," Srishtinath Sharma, an official from the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation fire brigade, told ANI.
