2 Arrested for Throwing Firecrackers at Odisha BJP Office
Two men were arrested for throwing firecrackers at the BJP's state unit office here today, police said.
Bhubaneswar, May 26 (PTI) Two men were arrested for throwing firecrackers at the BJP's state unit office here today, police said.
The incident took place this evening when Prime Minister was about to leave Bhubaneswar. The prime minister was in Odisha to address a rally to mark the fourth anniversary of the NDA government.
According to Police Commissioner Y B Khurania, the arrested were identified as Pinak Mohanty and Biswajit Mallick, hailing from Puri district.
He said that the duo appeared to be mentally unsound.
The police officer said Mallick was arrested last year as well for pointing a toy gun at BJP's state president Basanta Kumar Panda.
