Jakarta [Indonesia], August 29 (ANI): Indian athlete Swapna Barman on Wednesday struck a gold medal in women's Heptathlon Athletics event at the ongoing 18th edition of the Asian Games.
The 21-year-old accumulated a total of 6026 points to finish on top of the podium in the final of the event.
While Chinese athlete Qingling Wang won a silver medal with a point tally of 5954, Yuki Yamasaki of Japan settled for bronze with a score of 5873 points.
India's total medal tally at the prestigious tournament now stands at 54-eleven gold, 20 silver, and 23 bronze. (ANI)
