A businessman from Assam was kidnapped by some armed men on Tuesday in East Garo Hills district of Meghalaya, police said.
Tura (Meghalaya), Nov 13 (PTI) A businessman from Assam was kidnapped by some armed men on Tuesday in East Garo Hills district of Meghalaya, police said.
Tapos Majhi, a 37-year-old ginger trader from Goalpara district of Assam, was abducted near Bansam Awe village when he was on his way to Rongsak weekly market.
Around 5/6 masked men came in motorbikes, stopped his vehicle and abducted him at gun point, police said adding that efforts are on to find out the businessman.
