Khunti (Jharkhand), Jul 8 (PTI) Three Consolidated Development Centres-cum-Police camps were today inaugurated in in Khunti district, police said.

The consolidated centre-cum-police camps were inaugurated in Kochang,, Kurunga and Sharda village of Khunti district, DIG (South Chhotanagpur) Amol V Homker said.

Kochang, Kurunga and Shara are considered stronghold of Pathalgadi, a practice in which villagers inscribe various tenets on huge stone slabs and ban outsiders in their area, police said

The centres-was jointly inaugurated by DIG (Kolhan) Kuldip Dwidi, Khunti Superintendent of Police, Ashwini Kumar Singh, besides Homker.

All the three centres-cum-police camps will be operational from today and involve people of these areas with development work, besides anti-naxal operation, he said. PTI
