New Delhi, Jul 11 (PTI) The Delhi High Court has restrained audio platform Kuku FM from airing new episodes of a certain audio series over alleged copyright and trademark infringement.

Justice Saurabh Banerjee passed the order on a petition filed by rival audio platform Pocket FM, which alleged that the defendant had engaged in "wholesale and systematic copying" of its original content, including show titles, characters, posters, and entire storylines.

The court, in a July 10 order, directed Kuku FM not to release any further episodes of the contested shows and to submit details related to the contents in question.

The petition has also sought around Rs 80 crore in damages, alleging over 30 instances of unauthorised copying by Kuku FM.

Pocket FM, represented by senior advocate Amit Sibal and briefed by law firm Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, claimed that the petitioner had "spent years developing a robust content strategy, which Kuku FM is now exploiting for unfair commercial gain".
