Kochi, May 27 (PTI)A Sri Lankan Airways flight with 248 persons on board got caught in cross wind during landing today at Cochin International Airport Limited but there were no casualties, airport sources said.
They said UL 167 Sri Lankan Airbus landed at the airport aat 3.55 PM. But it touched down down one meter away from the designated path due to strong crosswinds.
The aircraft was brought back to the taxi bay. there were no casualties. All 248 passengers are safe, the sources said.
The runway was closed for 50 minutes.
Only one Jet airways flight from Mumbai was diverted due to the incident, the sources said.
