Guwahati (Assam) [India], September 20 (ANI): Assam Police seized a large quantity of Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) and apprehended two persons in the Jorabat area on the outskirts of Guwahati here on Wednesday.

Acting on intelligence regarding dealing with FICN, a police team of the Jorabat outpost accordingly conducted a raid at the 14th-mile area, Jorabat and apprehended two persons.

The accused have been identified as Md Abdul Kadir and Samir Uddin.

Diganta Borah, Commissioner of Police, Guwahati said "Police recovered FICN of Rs 2 lakh of Rs 500 denomination and three mobile phones from them."

A case has been registered.
