Tarn Taran (Punjab) [India], October 13 (ANI): Border Security Force (BSF) troops in a joint operation with Punjab police recovered a made-in-China drone in Punjab's Tarn Taran district, said BSF in a press release on Sunday.
Based on information from the BSF intelligence wing about the presence of a drone in the border area of Tarn Taran district, a joint search operation was carried out in the suspected area. During the search operation, at about 02:00 pm, troops successfully recovered one drone from a harvested farming field adjacent to village Wan in Tarn Taran District, said BSF.
The recovered drone has been identified as a DJI Mavic 3 Classic manufactured in China. Reliable information and coordinated efforts of BSF and Punjab police successfully recovered yet another illicit drone from across the border, added the release.
Earlier on Thursday, BSF recovered 13 kilograms of suspected heroin in the Tarn Taran Border district of Punjab.
According to the Public Relations Officer of the Punjab Frontier BSF, the recovery was made following reliable information about narcotics concealed in a hume pipe in the border area. BSF troops swiftly responded and conducted a thorough search of the suspected location.
On the same day, BSF troops, in collaboration with Tarn Taran Police also conducted a search operation and recovered an improvised and assembled Pakistani drone. (ANI)
