India News | One Terrorist Neutralised, Arms and Ammunition Recovered in Ongoing Encounter in J-K's Rajouri

Rajouri (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], June 5 (ANI): Security forces neutralised one terrorist and recovered arms and ammunition in an ongoing operation in Kalakote area of Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.

"Based on information received in the afternoon, the security forces had launched an operation. One terrorist has been neutralised. Arms and ammunition have been recovered. Operation is still underway," Vivek Gupta, DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range told reporters here.

He further added that the area has been cordoned off by the security forces and refused to comment on the probable number of terrorists in the location, stating it was an "operational matter."

"The area is in total control of the security forces, they have cordoned it," he added.
