J-K: Avalanche Hits Gurez, over Dozen Houses Destroyed
Khandiyal village in Gurez sector of the district was hit by an avalanche on Thursday late evening.
Bandipora (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Feb 23 (ANI): Khandiyal village in Gurez sector of Bandipora district was hit by an avalanche on Thursday late evening.The avalanche that hit the village near Army Camp in Dawar resulted in the destruction of over a dozen houses.While 18 houses were completely damaged, 28 houses suffered partial damage.No loss of human life and livestock took place due to timely action by the Avalanche Rescue Team.
