New Delhi, Sep 12 (PTI) IPO-bound Honasa Consumer Ltd on Tuesday said it has entered into an agreement with Apollo Pharmacy to retail personal and baby care products from its flagship brand Mamaearth.
As per Apollo Pharmacy, Mamaearth products were sold at over 5,000 Apollo Pharmacy stores in August 2023.
This agreement will help Mamaearth, a brand known for its natural, toxin-free products, to grow and make its products accessible to a wider audience.
Honasa Consumer Co-founder Varun Alagh said: "This agreement is an extension of our endeavour to make safe and natural products accessible to consumers across India. With Apollo Pharmacy's extensive retail network, we can now reach even more consumers who prioritize clean and sustainable beauty and personal care products".
***** *Pet care brand Zigly expands in tier 2 cities
The country's first omnichannel Pet care brand Zigly, owned by Cosmo First is expanding to tier II cities as it has launched experience centres in Lucknow, Indore and Noida.
It aims to tap into these emerging pet care markets as part of its ambitious growth plan to achieve 2X expansion by 2024.
The pet care industry in Tier II cities is still in its nascent stage compared to the major metros, but it has been gradually expanding.
Ashok Jaipuria, Chairman and Managing Director, Cosmo First said: "As there is a demand for quality care and guidance from pet parents, we are taking a focused step forward by expanding Zigly's footprint into these Tier II cities where this need is still developing".
***** *School edutech unicorn Lead crosses Rs 410 crore in revenue
School edutech startup Lead has claimed that its revenue doubled in FY23 to Rs 295 crore, while its annual revenue run rate jumped to Rs 410 crore.
With strong unit economics, Lead also expects to turn in profit by FY25. It has also set a target of enrolling 25 million students across 60,000 schools by 2028.
Early in 2023, Lead entered the high-fee school segment by acquiring Pearson's local K-12 learning business in the country. In July this year, it entered the low-fee school segment, its cofounder Sumeet Mehta said.
Lead was founded in 2012 by Sumeet Mehta and Smita Deorah.
