Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], May 03 (ANI): A total of 45 candidates are in the fray for elections to the four Lok Sabha seats in Himachal Pradesh after a candidate withdrew his name on the last day of withdrawal of nominations.Himachal Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) said that on the last day of withdrawal of nominations for the general elections, a candidate, Dula Ram (Independent) from Solang village of Jubbal tehsil in Shimla district withdrew his nomination on Thursday.Out of the 45 candidates, there are 17 from Mandi parliamentary constituency, six candidates from Shimla parliamentary constituency and 11 candidates each from Kangra and Hamirpur Lok Sabha seats. Of the 51.59 lakh voters in Himachal Pradesh, 26,45,584 are male voters while the female voter count is 25,13,357.Single-phase polls in Himachal Pradesh will take place on May 19. The counting of votes will take place on May 23. (ANI)
