BYD luxury sub-brand Denza is preparing to enter the Indian automotive market by the end of the year, introducing two flagship models positioned above the parent company's existing lineup. As per a report by Autocar India, the brand originally established as a joint venture with Mercedes-Benz Group AG will occupy retail spaces priced above USD 95,000, while traditional BYD models continue to cover lower price brackets. The move allows the automaker to navigate regulatory constraints on direct foreign investment by focusing on specialized high-margin vehicle categories. Denza Z9 GT Performance and Specifications
Leading the brand's technological showcase is the Z9 GT, a heavy shooting brake weighing nearly three tonnes that utilizes a triple-motor setup producing a combined output of 1,156hp. The fastback accelerates from zero to 100 kph in 2.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 270 kph, backed by an extensive WLTP-certified driving range of 600 kilometres.
Ultra-fast charging capabilities feature prominently in the vehicle architecture, utilizing a high-capacity system that replenishes the battery from 10 to 97 percent in just nine minutes. Cabin amenities include five digital displays, cell-to-body structural integration, rear-wheel steering with a crab-walk function, and comprehensive Level 2+ driver assistance systems.

Joining the fastback is the D9 luxury multi-purpose vehicle, configured in a seven-seat layout aimed at high-end executives and families. Powered by a single front-mounted electric motor fed by a 103kWh battery, the vehicle delivers 313hp alongside an estimated range of 520 kilometres on a single charge.
