JSW MG Motor India is set to significantly bolster its presence in the Indian automotive market by launching four new electrified models over the next 12 months. These vehicles are designed to broaden the brand’s market share by leveraging a strategic shift towards a multi-energy platform approach. The company has introduced its Advanced Drive Architecture Platform Technology (ADAPT), which is India's first multi-NEV (New Energy Vehicle) architecture capable of supporting plug-in hybrid (PHEV), range-extender, and pure electric powertrains.

The upcoming lineup aims to cater to evolving consumer demand by offering varied propulsion technologies, effectively addressing infrastructure constraints while maintaining high performance and safety standards. Each of these new models will feature modern design aesthetics, significant technology upgrades, and comprehensive feature suites, ensuring a premium experience for Indian customers. As per a report by Cartoq, this rollout marks a major step in the brand’s commitment to sustainable mobility. Maruti Suzuki Says Grand Vitara Is Fully E20-Compatible, Challenges Consumer Court's Replacement Order.

Hector Hawk: The PHEV and EV Duo

The Hector Hawk will be the first model based on the new ADAPT platform, arriving in both plug-in hybrid and all-electric versions. The Hector Hawk PHEV features a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with a 20.5 kWh battery pack and a front-mounted electric motor, producing 197 bhp and 230 Nm of torque. It supports external charging and offers an electric-only range exceeding 100 km. Inside, it boasts a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, leatherette upholstery, and Level 2 ADAS.

The all-electric Hector Hawk EV will share the same foundation but incorporates EV-specific styling, such as a revised front fascia and aerodynamic alloy wheels. It is expected to come with a 56.7 kWh battery pack, a front-mounted motor producing 136 bhp and 200 Nm of torque, and a real-world driving range targeted between 450 km and 500 km.

Premium and Replacement Models

The IM6 electric SUV will join the premium MG Select lineup later this year. It measures 4,904 mm in length and features a futuristic cabin with a 26.3-inch panoramic display, an additional 10.5-inch touchscreen, a 20-speaker sound system, and ventilated seats. Internationally, it offers up to 778 bhp in all-wheel-drive configuration and supports ultra-fast DC charging up to 396 kW.

The fourth model is the MG S5 EV, which is set to replace the current ZS EV. Built on the Modular Scalable Platform, the S5 EV is expected to offer two battery options, 49 kWh and 64 kWh, with a claimed range of approximately 500 km. It features 139 kW DC fast charging, Level 2 ADAS, and a premium cabin equipped with a large touchscreen and wireless connectivity. Raipur Consumer Commission Orders Maruti Grand Vitara Replacement Over E20 Fuel Compatibility.

Meanwhile, the MG S5 EV is projected to fall within the Rs 22 lakh to Rs 28 lakh range, providing a modern alternative to existing electric SUVs.
