Mumbai: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. on Monday unveiled the all-new XUV 7XO, positioning it as its most technologically advanced SUV yet. Priced from ₹13.66 lakh (ex-showroom), the XUV 7XO builds on the legacy of the XUV700 and aims to set new benchmarks in the premium midsize SUV segment.

The company announced that bookings for the XUV 7XO will open on January 14, 2026, with deliveries for select variants commencing the same day. Introductory prices apply to the first 40,000 customer deliveries.

XUV 7XO Five Pioneering Technology Firsts

Mahindra claims the XUV 7XO introduces five industry-first innovations, including the world’s first DAVINCI suspension system, a valve-based damping technology designed to deliver a more settled and plush ride. The SUV also becomes India’s first internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle to feature a coast-to-coast triple-screen setup across all variants.

Other highlights include India’s first ICE-based Software Defined Vehicle (SDV), an integrated Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio-visual experience, and Level 2 ADAS with Dynamic Visualisation, a feature designed to enhance driver awareness through real-time graphics.

Variant-wise Pricing and Availability

The XUV 7XO is offered in multiple trims—AX, AX3, AX5, AX7, AX7T and AX7L—with both petrol and diesel powertrain options. Manual and automatic transmissions are available, while select variants offer All-Wheel Drive (AWD) capability.

Prices range from ₹13.66 lakh for the base AX petrol manual to ₹24.11 lakh for the fully loaded AX7L AWD variant. Automatic transmission and AWD options are available at an additional cost. While higher variants will be delivered starting mid-January, lower trims are expected to roll out from April 2026.

Focus on Democratising Technology

Mahindra stated that its strategy with the XUV 7XO is to make advanced technology accessible across variants. Even the base AX trim comes equipped with triple HD screens, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Alexa with ChatGPT integration, cruise control, and 75 standard safety features.

The SUV runs on the ADRENOX+ digital ecosystem, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155P chipset—marking its first use in an ICE vehicle in India.

Design, Comfort and Performance

The XUV 7XO features a bold new design language with a full-width piano-black grille, Bi-LED projector headlamps, diamond-cut R19 alloy wheels, and a panoramic Skyroof. Inside, the cabin is highlighted by premium leatherette finishes, multi-zone ambient lighting, ventilated front and rear seats, and powered seating with memory and boss mode.

Power comes from Mahindra’s 2.0-litre mStallion TGDi petrol engine and 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine, paired with either a six-speed manual or torque converter automatic gearbox. The petrol manual variant is claimed to sprint from 0–60 kmph in under five seconds.

Safety and ADAS

Safety remains a key focus, with Mahindra offering over 120 safety features, including seven airbags, 540-degree surround-view camera, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and Level 2 ADAS with 17 functions. The XUV 7XO has been engineered to meet five-star Bharat NCAP standards.

Industry Perspective

Mahindra executives described the XUV 7XO as a “trendsetter” aimed at addressing rising expectations in the SUV market. The company believes the model will strengthen its leadership position in India’s fast-growing premium SUV segment.

With advanced digital architecture, premium comfort features and a strong focus on safety and performance, the XUV 7XO represents Mahindra’s next step in redefining the modern SUV experience.
