Ajaz Khan Says ‘Samay Raina Ka Encounter Karo’ After ‘IGL 2’ Contestant Makes Shocking Prize Money Claim
Ajaz Khan fiercely criticized comedian Samay Raina, accusing his show 'India's Got Latent' of being 'scripted' and involved in a prize money scam. This follows contestant Rajesh Mishra's allegations of receiving only INR 35,000 instead of INR 1 lakh and his performance being unaired. Khan demanded Raina's 'encounter' in a viral video.
A fresh controversy has erupted in the entertainment industry, with actor and former Bigg Boss contestant Ajaz Khan launching a scathing attack on stand-up comedian and YouTuber Samay Raina. On Thursday, September 24, 2026, Khan took to Instagram to share a video featuring Prayagraj-based performer Rajesh Mishra, who levelled serious allegations against Raina's popular show, 'India's Got Latent'. Ajaz Khan Lashes Out at Samay Raina
In the widely circulated video, Ajaz Khan did not mince words, directly confronting Samay Raina over the alleged unfair practices on his show. Khan accused Raina of deceiving the public and exploiting aspiring artists. "Public ko dikha raha hai 1 lakh tu gareebo ko de raha hai, naye comedians ko de raha hai aur brands se itna paisa le raha hai tu... Samay Raina gaali deke sammaan paa raha hai," Khan exclaimed, implying that Raina publicly projects a large prize amount while allegedly giving a significantly smaller sum to winners, all while earning substantial money from brands.
Khan further asserted that India's Got Latent is nothing but a sham. "Ye show scripted hai, pura fixed hai aur ye show mein original talent nahi dikhaya jaayega kabhi bhi. Kyunki original talent se inn sabki g**** phatti hai," he stated, accusing the show of being pre-determined and deliberately sidelining genuine talent.
The actor’s anger escalated, leading him to make a shocking demand: "Samay Raina ka encounter karo." He concluded his fierce address by declaring, "Tu Samay hai aur hum Pralay hai. Samay Raina ka encounter karo," urging authorities and the public to take action against the comedian.
Contestant's Allegations Against ‘India’s Got Latent S2’
The controversy stems from the claims made by Rajesh Mishra, a contestant on 'India's Got Latent'. Mishra alleged that despite performing a rap for approximately 40 minutes on the show, his act was never broadcast in any of the episodes. He also claimed that while he received prize money, he was never officially announced as a winner.
Mishra, backed by Khan, revealed a significant discrepancy in the prize money. They alleged that contestants who are supposed to win INR 1 lakh are, in reality, only given around INR 35,000. Furthermore, they claimed that if there are multiple winners, the prize amount is divided amongst them. Rajesh Mishra also asserted that Samay Raina is privy to the contestants' scores even before the results are officially declared.
‘India’s Got Latent’ Season 2 Contestant Rajesh Mishra Makes Shocking Claims About Samay Raina and Netflix Show
Ajaz Khan has appealed to the public of Prayagraj and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to listen to Rajesh Mishra's story and ensure he receives justice.
Previous Controversies and Show Details
Samay Raina, an accomplished Indian stand-up comedian and YouTuber, rose to prominence as the co-winner of Comicstaan 2 in 2019. He launched 'India's Got Latent' in June 2024 as a Hindi comedy talent show, which streams on YouTube and, for its second season (launched in June 2026), on Netflix. The show, inspired by the 'Got Talent' franchise and 'Kill Tony', features a diverse range of acts.
This isn't the first time 'India's Got Latent' has faced scrutiny. In February 2025, the show was embroiled in a major controversy after podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia made alleged obscene comments during an episode, leading to FIRs being filed against Raina and others, and the show's episodes being temporarily made private on YouTube. Samay Raina revealed in April 2026 that he nearly lost INR 8 crore due to the fallout from this controversy.
More recently, on July 14, 2026, the Supreme Court imposed a fine of INR 3 lakh on Samay Raina for violating court orders and making false statements in connection with the prior India's Got Latent controversy. While India's Got Latent positions itself as an entertainment/comedy show, not every contestant's performance is guaranteed to be aired, and it operates as a business venture. However, the current allegations by Rajesh Mishra, amplified by Ajaz Khan, raise serious questions about transparency and fairness within the popular digital series.
