Comedians Abish Matthew and Raunaq Rajani, along with actor Ayesha Khan, were detained by Mumbai Police on July 22 during a protest held in solidarity with NEET aspirants demanding accountability over alleged examination irregularities. Following the detention, Ayesha Khan shared a series of videos on Instagram, claiming she had been taken into custody despite standing peacefully on the road. Ayesha Khan Shares Videos After Detention

In videos posted on her Instagram Stories, Ayesha appeared visibly emotional as she described the incident.

She said: "My hands are literally shivering right now. I've been detained in the police van just for standing on the road peacefully. I didn't say a word. I didn't even start the protest. I was just standing because my brother, my male friends were detained and we were just standing on road. In another video, Ayesha was heard asking police officials where those who had been detained were being taken. In a separate clip, she also requested officers not to push her while she was being escorted.

Protest Held In Support Of NEET Aspirants

The protest in Mumbai was organised to express solidarity with students protesting over alleged irregularities in the NEET examination.

The demonstration comes amid similar protests being held in several cities across the country, with participants demanding accountability over the alleged examination irregularities and seeking justice for students who reportedly died by suicide.
