The incident occurred on Nargis Dutt Road, where strong winds accompanying the rain caused tree branches to collapse onto the roadway. The obstruction briefly affected traffic in the area, including the Ambani family's convoy, before normal movement resumed following clearance operations. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
Heavy Rain Impacts Mumbai
Mumbai witnessed intense rainfall on Sunday, with several areas reporting waterlogging, traffic congestion and weather-related disruptions. Strong winds also led to isolated incidents of fallen trees and branches, affecting road traffic in parts of the city.
The Ambani family was among several prominent guests expected to attend Aamir Khan's wedding ceremony with Gauri Spratt at his Bandra residence. Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker and his wife, Sunita Gowariker, were among the first guests to arrive despite the heavy rain. The ceremony has attracted members of the film industry and business community.
The wedding marks Aamir Khan's third marriage and Gauri Spratt's second. Aamir was previously married to filmmaker Kiran Rao from 2005 to 2021. The former couple share a son, Azad. Before that, he was married to Reena Dutta from 1986 to 2002, and they have two children, Junaid Khan and Ira Khan.
