When questioned by an interviewer regarding the rise of the term "propaganda film" in relation to recent high-octane releases like Dhurandhar 2, Kumar was quick to side with the art of storytelling over industry jargon.

"What is a propaganda film? I don't know what a propaganda film is," Kumar stated. "If a film is good, it's good. I never understood what a propaganda film is. I really liked the film (Dhurandhar 2). No matter what anyone says, I really enjoyed watching it."

‘Bhooth Bangla’ Postponed Amid ‘Dhuarndhar 2’ Box Office Wave

In a strategic move to ensure both films have room to breathe, the makers of Akshay Kumar’s upcoming horror-comedy, Bhooth Bangla, have officially postponed its release. According to a report by Variety India, the film will now hit theatres on April 17, 2026, instead of its original April 10 slot.

A source quoted by Variety India explained the decision: “The producers of Bhooth Bangla realised the challenges in taking on the Ranveer Singh-starrer. And it’s a good business decision. It’s a win for the producers as well as the industry... There should be no ego involved in such decisions.”

Trade sources added that the postponement was driven by a need for "breathing space" at the box office, given the record-breaking momentum of Dhurandhar 2. ‘Bhooth Bangla’ Actor Akshay Kumar Seeks Blessings at Ujjain’s Mahakaleshwar Temple With Mother-in-Law Dimple Kapadia Ahead of Film Release (Watch Video).
