Sunny Deol's latest release Blank, co-starring newbie Karan Kapadia, hasn't managed to impress the audience big time despite generating good buzz with the film's trailer. The action thriller opened to not-so-great reviews on Friday, May 3, and witnessed a poor occupancy during the mornings shows on the first day. Though on Saturday the film fared a little better and also saw a spike in its collection, the overall box office performance till now has been underwhelming. On Sunday, Blank again minted in two-digit figures but the opening weekend collection still isn't that great. Blank Box Office Collection Day 2: Karan Kapadia and Sunny Deol's Film Shows Minimal Growth on Saturday, Mints Rs 2.17 Crore

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the microblogging site Twitter a while back and announced the updated figures. He wrote, "#Blank has a low weekend... Biz did grow on Day 2 and 3, but the jump was missing [despite positive reports]... Fri 97 lakhs, Sat 1.17 cr, Sun 1.58 cr. Total: ₹ 3.72 cr [1255 screens]. India biz... Mumbai circuit: ₹ 1.26 cr. Delhi/UP circuit: ₹ 85 lakhs."

Further, Boxofficeindia.com noted, "The growth was not what it should be for a film opening so low. It just about managed to get to the 1 crore nett mark on Sunday. The only plus was that it was way ahead of the competition of Setters but that is hardly an achievement. Setter could hardly do 50 lakhs nett in its first weekend." Blank Box Office Collection Day 1: Karan Kapadia and Sunny Deol Starrer Fails to Get Cash Registers Ringing

Apart from Blank, Aftab Shivdasani and Shreyas Talpade starrer Setters also arrived in cinema halls on May 3. But it also failed to strike a chord with the audience and therefore ended the opening weekend on a low note.
