The remark is believed to reference an incident in December 2025, when Tara Sutaria joined singer AP Dhillon on stage during his Mumbai concert. Reports from the time indicated that Veer, who was present at the concert, appeared visibly uncomfortable during the interaction, leading to extensive online discussion and speculation about their relationship dynamics.

Tara Sutaria and Veer Pahariya, who had reportedly begun dating in early 2025 and made their relationship public in July that year, reportedly parted ways in January 2026, just weeks after the AP Dhillon concert incident. Interestingly, on the same episode of Koffee With Karan 9, Janhvi Kapoor also openly acknowledged her relationship with Shikhar Pahariya, Veer's brother. She revealed that she was officially in a relationship with Shikhar and discussed their enduring bond, stating that marriage was not on the cards for another "two to three years".
