Farhan Akhtar has had a string of successes with projects like KGF, Made in Heaven, Inside Edge, Mirzapur. One big success was Ranveer Singh starrer Gully Boy. The movie about a rap artist rising to fame from the streets of Mumbai is India's official entry for Academy Awards 2020 in the Best International Feature Film category. Farhan is currently promoting his upcoming film, The Sky Is Pink, in which he stars opposite Priyanka Chopra. Soon, he'd have to start promoting Gully Boy once again to increase its chances of winning an Oscar. With the Oscars scheduled to be held on February 9, 2019, the campaigning for the nominations will soon begin. Farhan is excited to begin the process.
On being asked about campaigning, Farhan said, "It is a great opportunity that has been handed to us by the Film Federation of India. I am very thankful to them. We have a lot of work ahead of us to make it to the final 5 or 6 final nominations that will be announced in January. But there is a blueprint made out now as to what all needs to be done," Exclusive: Priyanka Chopra Talks About Her Project with Russo Brothers, Says 'It's Sort of Action' (Watch Video).
