Filmmaker Karan Johar sure seems to have aced the way handle trolls. The director is often a target of trolls on social media and while in majority of cases, we don't see him responding, in his recent interaction on Twitter we saw him shut down a troll with a fitting response. Karan's response came after the said troll replied to a tweet by film critic and interviewer Rajeev Masand. While the post said, Karan Johar will talk about his upcoming movies (particularly Takht), nepotism and much more in an upcoming interview, the troll hit back at Johar with a rather mean comment on his sexuality. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai Remake: Karan Johar Picks Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt and Janhvi Kapoor as His Dream Cast.

The tweet has now been deleted but the troll tagged Karan in a post saying a film be made on Karan Johar with the title, "Karan Johar: The Gay." Giving a befitting reply to this, Karan wrote, "You absolutely orignal genius! Where have you been hiding all this while??? Thank you for existing and emerging as the most prolific voice on Twitter today!!! "

Karan's response was hailed by his followers who supported him. Several users also tweeted to him saying that he shouldn't reply to these trolls who are trying to undermine him. Karan Johar to Hoist Indian Flag at IFFM 2019, Says ‘Unity Centres Around the Pride of Our Tricolour’.

This is certainly not the first time Karan has faced online bullying and he even spoke about it in 2016 saying, " At this stage, frankly, I'm almost excited to be trolled, or I would be were it just about the trollers and their sad little minds. By the way - it's not like I consider being called gay an abuse or a bad word (though I am intrigued - endlessly - by the equally endless obsession with my sex life."
