Actress Nimisha Nair, known for her roles in Trial by Fire and Amar Colony, has sparked a conversation on women’s safety after sharing a video of a late-night harassment incident on the Western Express Highway. What Happened with Nimisha Nair on the Western Express Highway?

The confrontation occurred around 4:50 AM near the Kherwadi flyover in Bandra East. According to Nair, the two men who appeared to be inebriated began chasing her Uber after the cab overtook their two-wheeler.

The situation escalated quickly when the men allegedly blocked the cab’s path on the high-speed corridor, forcing the vehicle to a complete halt in the middle of the highway.

Direct Threats and Aggression

In a detailed Instagram post accompanied by video footage of the encounter, Nair described the aggressive behaviour of the duo. She noted that the men attempted to physically enter the vehicle while verbally shouting at her driver.

"At nearly 4:50 AM, near Kherwadi Flyover, two possibly drunk, aggressive hooligans decided to teach my Uber driver a 'lesson' for overtaking them," Nair wrote. "They threatened my driver in rage 'Teri maa ch*** dunga' tried to forcefully pull the doors open, and asked me to roll down the windows."

Nair stated that she and the driver remained inside the locked vehicle for their protection. "We obviously did none of that on account of our safety, because he clearly came to hit the driver," she added. The harassment reportedly only ceased when the men realised they were being recorded, at which point they fled the scene.

Police Action and Recurring Safety Concerns

The Kherwadi police have since initiated an investigation and are currently scanning CCTV footage from the Western Express Highway to identify the perpetrators. Disturbingly, Nair revealed that this is the second such incident she has faced in Mumbai this year. She disclosed that a similar encounter took place in Colaba on January 1, for which she had previously filed a First Information Report (FIR).
