Then the film ran into the troubled waters of the #MeToo movement, where director Vikas Bahl was accused of sexual harassment. It not only led to Vikas's removal from the post of Super 30's director but also the dissolution of Phantom Films, which he was the part-owner of. Super 30 was delayed until July 26, as the makers decided to shoot some additional portions for their film. Tragedy struck the film again when Ekta Kapoor announced her Kangana Ranaut-Rajkummar Rao starrer Mental Hai Kya (now Judgementall Hai Kya?) on July 26, 2019. And that's when it was decided that Super 30 will be pre-poned to July 12.

Well, the film has had an extended journey but will finally see the light of the day next week. Despite the major controversies that the film has had to face, Super 30 is a much awaited Hrithik Roshan film.
