The Mumbai bench of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) recently declared that the settlement compensation demanded by the actress is non-taxable. She had filed a complaint against an employee of Coca-Cola company being subjected to sexual harassment. She reportedly received Rs 145 lakh as the compensation. The ITAT stated that the amount received will not be considered as 'income' but 'capital receipt', making it non-taxable. Also, the penalty of Rs 35 lakh concealing the amount was also dismissed.

The former Miss Universe had a contract with the company of Rs 1.5 crore, to endorse the brand for a year. However, this contract was reportedly ended than the said date. The 43-year-old actress then argued that the contract was ended prematurely because of her resistance against an employee's sexual harassment act. Meanwhile, the Bollywood diva is said to be a part of an untitled project where she is likely to play the role of a cop. The crime drama is said to have a backdrop of Madhya Pradesh where she will be the tough police. She has also said to have given her nod to the script but waiting for some alterations to be made to the script. She was last seen in the 2018 film 'No Problem'.
