Ant-Man and The Wasp may be known for their pint-sized adventures, but their box office power is giant-sized. Yes, it has to be agreed that it may not be as powerful as Thanos' snap in Avengers: Infinity War or Black Panther's cultural dominance. And Marvel has already carved a special corner in the hearts of the Indian audiences with the kind of fare they have been offering since 2008's Iron Man. So it is not surprising that Ant-Man and The Wasp has been doing good business in India, also beating its Bollywood competitor of the Friday in the process. Ant-Man and the Wasp stars Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly in the lead, and is directed by Peyton Reed.

As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Ant-Man and The Wasp has collected Rs 7 crore on Saturday, making its two-day collections to Rs 12.50 crore. It has beaten Diljit Dosanjh's Soorma by two crore, as the hockey drama has collected Rs 8.25 crore in the same amount of time. This again shows the trend that when it comes to Hollywood blockbusters and Bollywood films, there is quite a possibility that the products from the West might have an upper hand.

This is the third Disney-Marvel movie this year to do good business in India, after Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War. Avengers: Infinity War went on to become the first Hollywood movie to cross Rs 200 crore mark and is not the highest grossing Hollywood movie of all time.
