Black Widow is set after the events of "Captain America: Civil War" but before the events of Avengers: Infinity War. The film will trace the story of Romanoff, who will confront her past, which was hinted at during the hypnosis sequence in Age of Ultron.

Black Widow has been directed by Cate Shortland. The movie also stars  David Harbour, Florence Pugh, O-T Fagbenle, and Rachel Weisz. It will open in theatres on May 1, 2020 in the US. But the superhero action film will open in Indian theatres a day earlier, on April 30, 2020.
